Yoga Pillows & Bolsters
Yoga is a fantastic way for people to be able to lose weight, get a good exercise in, increase their core stability and also improve their flexibility. But, all of that does not happen over night, and it can sometimes be discouraging to people who are new to doing yoga when they aren’t able to get the full stretch that their see other people doing. Each person’s body is different and some yoga postures will be harder for some than they are for others. If you find yourself needing extra support or extra stability during some of the yoga postures or poses, then you’ll want to look into getting something that can help to give you more stability.
Yoga bolsters or yoga pillows are great ways for you to be able to get added stability. Often times various poses can cause your body to shake at certain places, and so to not shake when doing those postures you just prop up the yoga pillow right next to that part part and you’ll feel like you are able to get a better stretch since you’re not having to focus on remaining stable, rather you can focus on doing the stretch properly.
The pillows come in many different sizes and shapes. If you are wanting a pillow that is good for meditation, then getting a round yoga pillow is probably your best bet. This allows you to sit down in the meditation pose and be supported from a hardwood surface or even your yoga mat. It is not 100% stable which gives you the ability to strengthen your core, but it gives a good cushion for you while you are trying to focus and meditate.
You can also get a long cylinder looking yoga pillow or a long rectangle yoga pillow, which can both provide localized support to either your neck, or lower back, or even propping your legs up against them. No matter which yoga pillow you choose, you will be able to notice that you can do the stretches better than before.
